Tips and information for Soap casting:

Why produce soap itself? Because it is possible to define the most ingredients themselves! Adding soap colours, fragrance oils or herbs you can easily design your own individual soap. With special soap molds of plastic and silicon, a great gift item can be manufactured from soap!

Give it a try! Surprise your loved ones with great guest soaps, children's soaps that are fun, or with soap mobiles which give off a wonderful aroma. Individual soaps are always a nice gift idea or an original souvenir. As decorative object for bathrooms and guest toilet, as fragrance accent or simply as a "favorite soap". With our materials, successfull soap casting is s guaranteed!

Soap Making - Here's how:

Basic substance for soap casting is soap pieces. Melt in a water bath or in the melting pot into liquid soap. Now you can add soap colour and then fragrance oil, if desired. After the addition of soap colour and the fragrance oil fill the liquid soap into the mold. Allow the soap to harden. Would you like to make a soap with different layers of paint? Allow each coat of paint to harden before you pour the next layer of soap. After curing the liquid soap, take the individual soap out of the mold.

TIP! Do you have problems to remove soap? Put the hardened soap with mold in to a freezer for about 15 minutes. Take from the freezer and run the back of the mold with warm water… the soaps easily slides from the mold.

Finally, you can make the manufacture soaps according to your wishes and packaging. With small gift boxes, ribbons and more. Create fragrant, unique fine soap that gives pleasure.

Incidentally soaps are probably the oldest active detergent substances. As early as the 3rd century, in the 9th century soap production in Marseille flourished and since the mid-18th century, soap is produced industrially.

Self-made bath salts and balls

For your very own bath salts or bath balls all you need is a little soap colour, soap fragrance oils, dried flowers or herbs. To prepare bath balls you can use our bath ball Shapes (heart and ball). The bath ball extracts can be in the bubbling or foaming variant. Decorate them with rose, lavender, mauve blossoms and marigolds potpourri and you not only have a beautiful gift, but also give the feeling of something special for the bathroom!

Soap modelling!

Instead of pouring soaps - simply knead your soap . Small, finely ripped soaps pieces are a wonderful alternative to the soap casting which inspire young and old. From the small pieces an extraordinary soap-plasticine can be produced by hand. The mixed mass can then be punched out or shaped with molds. Soap made from soap sprinkles has a very special surface that looks almost marbled. The pieces are also suitable for casting. You can achieve very special effects during the soap production!

We recommend the soap knead set. There is everything you need to make funny colourful fish soaps.

The new trend: "Schwammi - Schwapp"!

A mould is filled with liquid soap so that the small inner edge is also covered. Then the sponge is wetted in the water and placed on the soap in the mold. The soap seeps into the sponge and connects with it. Now the sponge remains in the mold for 20 to 30 minutes until it has hardened - afterwards it is ready for the bath fun.

Soap casting

We introduce transparent and opaque in two variations (white): Sapolina Creative Soap are free from animal fats and oils. They are tested hypoallergenic and dermatologically because they are based solely on skin-neutral ingredients that have arisen only by the natural hydrolysis of glycerol. This is the ideal condition that they can be individually mixed with other cosmetic supplement products.

Glycerine soap casting "eco" is made without animal ingredients and not tested on animals. It is dermatologically tested, particularly skin gently enriched by the pH 9 and with olive oil.

Soap colours

For coloring the liquid soap casting, you can use Sapolina Soap colours, opaque natural soap colours, metallic soap pigments or pearl effect paint soap. The transparent soap colours are perfect for mixing into the molten, colourless or white soap mass. The pigments used for this purpose meet the dermatological requirements of the Cosmetics Regulation. By the incorporation of different soap colours, there is the possibility of producing soaps in any desired colour itself. When mixing these colours with transparent glycerine formed transparent coloured bars of soap, add objects such as glass beads or herbs which can be embedded in the middle.

Natural, opaque soap colours: Interesting is the manufacture of soaps, whose appearance is marked by a traditional soap colour. Such as olive soap, noted by their green yellow appearance equal to the quality of this soap itself. Such soap colours are in demand again today! Opaque colourants that are simply mixed to the melted white soap. Depending upon the amount added (1-2%) results in the opaque classic soap hue. This colour corresponds to the current requirements of the Cosmetics Directive, it is not only free of harmful substances, but also dermatologically tested, also environmentally degradable.

Metallic pigment soap: This soap can be prepared as gold and silver in the colours of popular precious metals, but are powdered soap colours. The pigments are highly concentrated colour. Therefore, add small about of 1-3% is all that is required. The pigments are thoroughly mixed into the melted, transparent soap mass. To enhance the colour effect, add a small amount of white soap in (silver) or slightly yellow (soap colour) should be added to the gold soap.

Pearly effect soap colour: Blended with this pigment soap show a lustrous pearlescent surface effect. For this, the transparent soap is in the ratio 80: 20 mixed with white soap mass. In addition 1-4% pearl pigment is added. The result is a bright white, iridescent shimmering pearl soap. The colour can be varied individually when an additional 2-3% yellow, red, violet, blue or green soap colour is mixed into the liquid casting soap.

Sapolina Soap fragrance oils

Pleasantly scented soaps indicate freshness and cleanliness. One more reason to use selected perfume oils for soap making. In combination with soap colour and scent the appearance of a certain plant can be created. These natural oils are from flowers, seeds or leaves (pressed) and referred to as essential oils. The selection of scented oils was carried out under medical aspects of dermatology. Therefore many of these perfume oils have besides the pleasant smell effect even a healing, or skin care effect.
