What can be done with creative concrete?

With the new creative and ornamental concrete, you can easily model trendy designs. Decorative objects, candles, bowls, vases, candle holders, coasters, chain pendants etc. Decorative objects for house and garden: candles, bowls, vases, candle holders etc... Concrete decoration is also suitable for events such as communion, confirmation, baptism, wedding, Easter or Christmas. The rough structure of the concrete is a great contrast to materials such as leaf metal, lace and wood. Combined with wood, interesting accessories for house and garden are easily created.

The Creative Concrete is a high-quality and easy to process concrete casting compound that is ideal for casting a wide variety of decorative objects. Creative concrete offers you many possibilities to create your own unique pieces! Thanks to an optimized formulation, concrete is ideal for use at home as well as in schools and leisure facilities.

What do you need for concrete casting?

You don't need much more than the concrete casting compound, a mould and water (mixing ratio water: creative concrete = 1:10).

Why is there a special fine concrete for jewellery?

For jewellery made of concrete there is now also special jewellery concrete. This is extra fine and excellently suited for the casting of finely structured, thin-walled concrete parts such as signs, brooches, pendants and much more. The mixing ratio for fine concrete is water: fine concrete = 1:4.

What is the difference to conventional concrete powder?

In comparison to commercial concrete as known from DIY stores, both creative concrete and fine concrete for jewellery is much finer.

What is the advantage of kneaded concrete?

A brand new addition to the concrete product family is creative wrought concrete. This is in powder form and is mixed with water. Ideal for kneading, forming, modelling, cutting out and much more. You don't need a mould. The finished model only needs to harden in the air, then it is weatherproof, frost-resistant and waterproof.

Which casting moulds are suitable for creative and decorative concrete?

You will find everything you need to create trendy home accessories or jewellery with concrete. You can use moulds made of plastic, silicone, paper type, styrofoam or papier-mâché as casting moulds. You can also create your own moulds with grey board, clay cardboard and latex impression material Formalate. A description of this can be found in the handicraft instructions.

What tools are available for creative work with concrete?

Formestone release agents or latex moulding compounds (also known as latex milk) can be used to prepare and "convert"moulds made of a wide variety of materials (e. g. plastic and paper-art moulds) for pouring with creative or decorative concrete. Our Formestone release agent is a water-based release agent (biodegradable). With this release agent, concrete models made of plastic, latex and silicone moulds dissolve easily. Simply coat plastic moulds or other original models, the application prevents sticking to the creative concrete.

The formalate latex impression material is ideally suited for the production of seamless tubular forms: Simply dip a figure or other moldable object several times into the latex mass until a thin latex layer is on the figure. After drying, a stable and expandable tubular form is created, which can be poured with all conventional casting compounds, as well as creative and decorative concrete. The impression material is also suitable for making paper art moulds durable for the use of creative or decorative concrete. Paint the paper art form several times with latex milk, allow to dry, fill in creative concrete and let it harden, remove concrete from the paper art form.

Tip: If you want to set accents, place lace ornaments, lace ribbons or trendy plastic labels in a suitable casting mould. The labels are available in many designs. They are made of high-quality natural rubber, suitable for pouring into concrete, casting compound and soap. Plastic stencils, which are used for painting accessories, can also be used to create motifs.
